Victoria Falls
1 - 3Days

Victoria Falls

Arrive independently to Victoria Falls International Airport and join your included transfer to the Pioneers Hotel which is located in the quiet suburbs of Victoria Falls’ residential area, 2.5 kilometres from the Falls.

At Victoria Falls, the earth splits open and swallows one of Africa’s greatest rivers, the mighty Zambezi, creating the largest sheet of falling water on earth. Various activities are available here (not included in your package), including guided falls visits, white water rafting, bungee jumping, river cruises, helicopter flights and much more. These can be arranged in advance or through the hotel.

Your hotel is located on the Zimbabwean side of the Falls and exploring from this side you get a full-frontal view of three quarters of the falls’ 1.7km wide curtain of water from viewpoints and footpaths meandering through a rainforest kept hot and humid by the spray of the falls.

3 nights’ accommodation at Pioneers Victoria Falls with breakfast included.

Chobe River Front
4 - 6Days

Chobe River Front

On the morning of day 4 you will join your transfer to the Chobe River Front Area where you will check into the Chobe Elephant Camp, your home for the next 3 nights. The Chobe Riverfront is an elephant mecca; home to the largest density of African elephants in the world; and offers quality game viewing. Expect hippos, elephant bulls and buffaloes in the waters, and lions, antelopes and more stalking along the water’s edge. This coupled with the famous red Chobe sunsets and abundant birdlife make the area a great introduction to Botswana. It also makes a rewarding repeat journey once you’ve ticked off the big stuff. It’s a place to search for the rare sable antelope, to spot that gem from the birders’ bucket list and to explore the remoter corners. With 3 nights here you will have plenty of time to tick-off that wildlife bucket-list.

Included activities during your time here will be unforgettable game drives to view the region’s spectacular wildlife from open safari vehicles, as well as river safari cruises. Canoeing may also be available (depending on the season) and you can also enjoy a cultural visit to a nearby village.

3 nights’ accommodation at Chobe Elephant Camp on a fully-inclusive basis with all meals, local drinks (excl. spirits) and park fees included.

Scheduled Activities Included: Game drives, boating, canoeing (seasonal and water level dependent) & village visit.

Khwai Community Area
7 - 9Days

Khwai Community Area

On day 7 you will transfer to Kasane Airport to join your included charter flight to the Khwai Airstrip. You will then transfer to the welcoming Sango Safari Camp overlooking the Khwai River. Looking at a map of Botswana, you might miss Khwai completely if you didn’t know it was there. Wedged between the big-ticket attractions of Chobe National Park to the east and Moremi Game Reserve to the south, Khwai exists as a significant big game destination in its own right.

The Khwai Community Area lies on the eastern fringes of the Okavango Delta and boasts a rich wildlife population, with prospective sightings of elephant, buffalo, zebra, lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, giraffe, eland, sable, hippo, hyena and various other nocturnal species.

During your time here, you’ll spend most days exploring the narrow Khwai River, which forms the natural boundary to the Moremi Game Reserve on the south. The Khwai River is a beacon for wildlife and plays host to leopards stalking lechwe in the long grass, lions swimming from the banks to save their cubs’ during territorial disputes and crocodiles competing with wild dogs for a midday meal of impala. As Khwai lies outside the parks, it offers the freedom and flexibility to enjoy game drives both day and night, and these will be included as part of your package. Mokoro (traditional dug-out canoe) trips on the river and guided bush walks are also included.

The intimate Sango Safari Camp is named for the Sango Family, some of the original inhabitants of the Khwai area, and so you will also have the chance to learn first-hand about the unique lifestyle and experiences that come from living and growing up in one of the most wildlife-rich areas of Botswana.

3 nights’ accommodation at Sango Safari Camp on a fully-inclusive basis with all meals, local drinks and park fees included.

Scheduled Activities Included: Day & night game drives, mokoro excursions (seasonal and water level dependent) & bush walks.

Maun
10Day

Maun

As your Victoria Falls and Botswana safari sadly comes to an end, you will transfer back to the airstrip for an included charter flight to Maun Airport where your itinerary will conclude. Please get in touch if you would like any advice or help with organising onward or homeward flights.
