Sea Spirit

Sea Spirit is a high quality purpose built expedition ship with en-suite accommodation for upto 112 passengers. All suites and cabins have windows, satellite phone access, flat-screen TV and DVD player and king size or twin beds and a number also have private balconies. There is a passenger lift, spacious dining room, lounge, further club lounge and library, bar and grill, shop, gym and hot tub. The ship has plenty of open deck space and an open bridge policy. A 10mb communications access card is included in every voyage.

Silver Explorer

Silver Explorer was built as an expedition vessel with ice strengthened hull. Silversea, purchased it and undertook a complete refurbishment to convert it into a luxury vessel with standards of comfort and service to match other ships in the Silversea fleet, including cuisine by Relais & Chateaux, staterooms and suites with marble baths and butler service. All 66 staterooms and suites on board are of a high standard. There is one restaurant serving buffet or table service breakfasts and lunches and a la carte dinners; room service is available at all times. There is also a lecture theatre, a well stocked library, a lounge bar with humidor and a lounge/observation deck. Beverage service is also fully inclusive of non-premium liquor (although there is a high threshold before a premium standard is reached!). Apart from the expert lecture programme, entertainment is limited to an evening pianist, some home-grown performances by the crew and in-cabin satellite TV and DVD. There is also a small spa and fitness centre, a sauna and two decktop hot tubs. Polar travellers receive a complimentary parka and water resistant backpack.

L'Austral is a purpose built, luxury expedition vessel which combines a private yacht style ambiance with gastronomic French cuisine and high standards of service. All suites are and staterooms are twin or double and have private balconies and bathrooms along with minibar, satellite TV, DVD, Ipod docks, wifi and direct dial satellite telephone. Public areas and amenities include passenger lifts fore and aft, restaurant, lounge with dance floor and bar, reception desk, shop, leisure area with Wii ans slot machines, clinic, theatre, hairdresser, fitness room, spa with massage, hamman and balneo treatments, grill and buffet restaurant, outdoor pool, panorama lounge and terrace with bar, library and internet room and plenty of deck space. The ship has a 1C ice classification for cruising in polar waters.

Spirit of Enderby

The Spirit of Enderby was built in Finland as a Russian oceanographic survey ship and is still registered in Vladivostok under her original name of Professor Khromov and has a mostly Russian crew. The ship is fully ice strengthened for use in Arctic and Antarctic waters. Renamed Spirit of Enderby by Heritage expeditions, who lease the ship, it was fully refurbished in 2009 and has accommodation for up to 50 passengers in a mixture of suites and cabins, many with private facilities. There is an open bridge and deck policy and public areas including a dining room, lecture theatre, bar, lounge and library, small hospital and sauna.

Akademik Shokalskiy

A recently refurbished Russian survey ship with accommodation for 48 passengers. All cabins have outside views and range from suites to twin share cabins. Public areas incude lecture room, bar/lounge, dining room and hospital. There is an open-bridge policy.

Le Soleal

Sailing under the French flag, this magnificent yacht of only 132 staterooms and Suites, with balconies, is new in June 2013. Contemporary decor inspired by the luxury yachting world, with fluid lines and a modern colour scheme combining natural wood with shades of grey and white. There are passenger lifts to all decks. The ship is a purpose-built luxury expedition ship with ice-strengthened hull suitable for sailing in polar waters.

Carrying the highest ice class rating possible, Victory can crush ice up to 3 metres (10 feet) thick, and is the world's largest and most sophisticated nuclear-powered icebreaker. Kapitan Khlebnikov

Russian icebreakers are considered to be among the best and most powerful in the world - and the Kapitan Khlebnikov is an outstanding example. Built in 1980 and launched a year later by the world's leading builder of icebreakers - Wartsila Company of Finland - the Kapitan Khlebnikov was designed for challenging sea conditions in north Siberia. Refurbished to accommodate passengers in 54 first-class outside cabins and suites, the Kapitan Khlebnikov is extremely comfortable. All cabins feature private facilities, two lower berths (one fixed berth and one convertible sofa bed), a desk and large closets. Public areas include two dining rooms, a lounge and bar, well-equipped auditorium, indoor swimming pool, gym and sauna. Views are excellent from the Navigation Bridge. Our ship also has a library of polar books and videos, a shop, a passenger elevator and a small infirmary with a western doctor.

Luxury expedition ship with 62 suites, some with private verandas. Amenities include twin or queen bed with luxury linens and toiletries, stocked beverage cabinet, TV, direct dial telephone, wifi, etc. Public areas include restaurant, grill, two lounges, fitness centre and beauty salon, swimming pool, passenger lift, etc. Glass bottom boat for use in appropriate waters.
