Neko Bay, Lemaire Channel and Pleneau Island
4-5Days

Neko Bay, Lemaire Channel and Pleneau Island

Possible areas to visit in this part of the Peninsula are the mountainous landscape of Neko Bay, where we plan to set foot on the continent itself at Neko Harbour, and the glaciers and cliffs of Booth Island - great birding here. On Pleneau, there is a massive colony of gentoo penguins. Also, we hope to enter the scenic and beautiful Lemaire Channel.

Port Lockroy
6Day

Port Lockroy

On the small island of Goudier, you will have the opportunity to visit Port Lockroy. Initially it served as a relief and repair base for whalers, but in 1944 Port Lockroy became a British base. You will be able to visit the small museum that retraces the life of the base in the 1950s. Since 1996, it has been open to the public during the short Southern Summer and is used for carrying out research on Gentoo Penguins. Nowadays, this base is the most visited site of the White Continent and, thanks to its little store and post office, it is the only place to offer you the opportunity to write to your friends and family and share this unique moment.

Deception Island
7Day

Deception Island

One of the best known of the South Shetland Islands because of its horseshoe shape, Deception has the black sand of volcanic beaches and the remains of abandoned huts that have been overrun by the largest colony of Chinstrap Penguins in the Antarctic Peninsula. Excursions aboard our Zodiacs will allow you to set foot on this expanse of land where more than 100,000 pairs of penguins, elephant seals and fur seals live side by side.

Weddell Sea, Brown Bluff
8Day

Weddell Sea, Brown Bluff

This calm area on the other side of the Peninsula is home to the Weddell seal, known for its ability to stay submerged for up to an hour at a time. It is also recognisable because of its spotted belly. Beautiful ice scenery here and myriad seabirds, especially albatross and petrels.

Now that I am back from my odyssey voyage, I thought I would let you know that after all that planning it really did exceed my expectations – we managed landings everywhere even on Tristan da Cuhna and had great bird sightings. The guides all knew what they were talking about too and made sure I got some great photos – still sorting them all out! Thanks for everything and see you at Birdfair!

Overall I think that it was an excellent trip that was well worth the price paid and I would have no hesitation recommending your company to others.

Just a quick note to express my sincere thanks to you and all your staff for making this an epic adventure of immense proportions. Everything went smoothly, pickups, hotels and most of all the expedition itself. Truly a mind blowing experience unlike any I have ever taken.
