There are regular flights from many European and American cities direct to Buenos Aires, with connections to regions throughout the country.
At least 4 to 6 weeks prior to your departure you should consult your local GP or health professional to seek up-to-date advice and guidance on the latest vaccination requirements for Argentina. Depending on your circumstances, vaccinations or other preventive measures may be required.
Adequate and full travel health insurance is a necessity, along with adequate and readily accessible funds to cover the initial costs of any medical treatment or repatriation should they be required. Although overall the medical facilities in Argentina are good, the public hospitals tend to be quite crowded, and private facilities expensive.
Important numbers to have: Should you require an ambulance during your holiday, emergency medical assistance is available by calling either 107 or 911.
If you or someone you are travelling with is referred to a medical facility for treatment then you, or someone accompanying you, should also contact your travel insurance or medical assistance company as soon as possible.
Visas are not required for tourist visits by nationals of most countries, including EU, Australia, NZ, Canada and USA.
National of Australia, Canada and USA are required to pay a 'reciprocity' fee on arrival in Argentina.
